Int’l Conference Aims to Develop Quranic Diplomacy

IQNA – Tehran is scheduled to host an international Quranic conference later this week aimed at developing and enhancing Quranic diplomacy.

International conference on Quranic diplomacy planned in Tehran

 

Titled Risalat Allah (Messages of Allah), it will be held by the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) at the University of Tehran’s Faculty of Theology on Saturday, January 6.

Clarifying and promoting the Quranic capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the international stage, advocating, enhancing effectiveness and standardizing Quranic diplomacy in international interactions, and establishing an interactive network of Quranic elites from the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Muslim world are among the objectives of the conference.

Its themes include Quranic sciences and teachings, teaching the Quran, Quran printing and publication, Quranic calligraphy, Quranic women and Quranic media.

Also, during the international event, two Quran interpretations by contemporary Shia and Sunni scholars, namely Tasneem Exegesis of the Holy Quran by Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi Amoli and Tafsir al-Tahrir wa’l-Tanwir by Muhammad al-Tahir ibn Ashur will be honored.

A number of Muslim elites, thinkers and scholars and representatives of Quranic centers from Tunisia, Egypt, Iraq, Russia, Lebanon, Malaysia, Senegal, Thailand, India, and Pakistan have been invited to take part in the conference.
